List of 1991 Pandas
The People's Bank of China issued the 1991 Chinese panda gold, silver, platinum and palladium commemorative coins starting from the end of 1990.
There are altogether 27 different Panda coins in this year, 16 are gold, 7 are silver, 1 is gold plated, 1 is brass and 2 bimetallic.
The obverse has the Temple of Heaven in the center with Chinese characters on top saying "Zhonghua Renmin Gongheguo" meaning People's Republic of China and the bottom the year of issue.
The reverse features Panda and the face value.

Special Commemorative Pandas
Munich International Coin Fair
In order to commemorate the Munich International Coin Fair in 1991, two medals were commissioned. The first medal is a gold medal of 1/2oz weight and 99.9% fineness in Proof quality. The mintage is 1500. The second medal is a silver medal of 1oz weight and 99.9% fineness in Proof quality and mintage of 2500.
The First Hong Kong International Coin Convention
To commemorate the first Hong Kong International Coin Convention, a bimetallic coin and a bimetallic medal were minted. The bimetallic coin has a face value of 25 Yuan. Both the coin and the medal have the same composition of 1/4oz gold and 1/8oz silver in 99.9% fineness and are of Proof quality. The coin has a mintage of 10000 and the medal has a mintage of 2000.
The 10th Anniversary of the Issuance of Chinese Gold Panda Coins
In order to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Issuance of Chinese Gold Panda Coins, the People's Bank of China commissioned a special anniversary set of coins and medals for the occasion.
The first coin is a 5kg gold coin with 99.9% fineness in Proof quality and only 10 mintage.
The second coin is a 1oz gold coin with 99.9% fineness in Proof quality and a mintage of 2500.
The third coin is a 2oz silver coin with 99.9% fineness in Proof quality and 10000 mintage.
Also, there is a 1 gram gold panda with face value of 3 Yuan in Brilliant Uncirculated quality as well as a medal made of 103.13 grams brass in Proof quality. The planned mintages of these coins are rumored to be higher than actual distribution levels.
Finally, the last was a medal made of 103.13 grams of silver in Proof quality and 99.9% fineness. The mintage of the medal is 2000.
